The Jaga community: Guardians of lineage and legacy

We understand family heritage and lineage very much from the Jaga community of Rajasthan, regarded as the oldest genealogists in India. The Jagas have been keeping the family histories, ancestral lines, and important events of numerous clans with great care since centuries. It is more than record-keeping, an art and a legacy in itself. This will enable families like ours to trace our ancestry back to the ages while safeguarding all those invaluable stories of ancestors and the wisdom they were carrying. This way, the Jaga community, thus, gives a direct relationship of each generation to the origins and builds a feeling of belongingness, respect, and continuity. And so, because of the dedication, the heritage shall live on in us; we will then be in the position to pay homage to our past as we build on into the future.

Honoring the past, Inspiring the future

This website was created out of a deep commitment to preserving our family's heritage and sharing it with the next generation. For Radhika Singhi, daughter of Late Shri Jagdish Prasad Toshniwal, understanding our roots and embracing our traditions is a way of honoring the lives and legacies of those who came before us. She feels this culture and traditions will flower on earth, hence make a more profound sense of belonging, which further develop a very strong bond among families. This space was here for the celebration of history that connects every person inside the family with their respective ancestors' wisdom; and it inspires generations in sequence so that they can continue all this with pride and respect.
